Machine Learning Intern (Masters) - Summer 2027
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences.
We need to decide which sections to include based on content.
Content includes:
- About The Team (description of DoorDash building logistics engine, looking for ML engineer interns)
- About The Role (description of work: tackling new challenges in ML/AI, research areas, 12-week summer internship program in SF, Sunnyvale, NY, Seattle)
- "You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…" bullet list (use cutting-edge research..., contribute..., collect..., write clean code)
- "We’re excited about you because you…" bullet list (Masters degree, mastery of systems language or ML framework, experience in research, strong communicator, passion, ideally publications)
- Compensation section: includes base salary ranges (I4, I5, I6) and mentions equity grants, benefits.
- Benefits: comprehensive benefits package details (401(k) with employer matching, 16 weeks paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave, medical/dental/vision, 11 paid holidays, disability, basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, mental health program, etc.)
- Paid Time Off details (flexible PTO/vacation plus 80 hours sick per year for salaried; hourly accrual details)
- About DoorDash (mission, etc.)
- Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion (statement)
- Statement of Non-Discrimination (list)
- Pursuant to SF Fair Chance Ordinance etc. (legal)
- Notice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC or Remote Jobs Associated With Office in NYC Only (Covey details)
- Beware of recruitment scams (legal)
We need to remove boilerplate: legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. So we should drop sections like "Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion", "Statement of Non-Discrimination", "Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance", "Notice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC...", "Beware of recruitment scams". Also drop "About DoorDash" maybe? It's somewhat generic but could be considered substantive? It describes mission and growth. Might be considered boilerplate? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. "About DoorDash" is not exactly legal/EEO, but could be considered generic company description. However we need to preserve ALL substantive information; not invent or summarize away detail. The "About DoorDash" paragraph is somewhat generic but still part of posting. It might be considered boilerplate but not explicitly listed to remove. However we should prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine "About The Team" and "About The Role" maybe into one? But they are distinct headings. The instruction says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It suggests we can use those headings if content exists. We have "About The Team" and "About The Role". Could we treat "About The Team" as "About the role"? Not exactly. Maybe we should include sections: About the team, About the role, Responsibilities (maybe from "You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…" which are duties), Requirements/Qualifications (from "We’re excited about you because you…"), Benefits, Pay. Also maybe Schedule (internship duration 12-week summer). That could be Schedule.
We need to avoid filler/placeholder. All content we have is specific.
Thus we will produce sections:
About the Team
with paragraph(s) from About The Team.
About the Role
with paragraph(s) from About The Role (including internship location and duration).
Responsibilities
with - items from "You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…" (four bullet points).
Qualifications
with - items from "We’re excited about you because you…" (five bullet points). Could also include "Ideally have worked on publications..." as a bullet.
Benefits
with - items from benefits paragraph (list benefits). Could be many items; we need to list each as
- . Should we include the sentence about 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, and a mental health program, among others. Also mention "To learn more about our benefits, visit our careers page here." That's maybe a link but we can drop as boilerplate? It's a reference; maybe keep as part of benefits? It's not a benefit itself. Could omit.
Also Paid Time Off details: flexible PTO/vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year for salaried roles; hourly accrual details. That's also benefits. Could include as separate bullet points.
We need to avoid duplication. We'll include all distinct benefits.
Pay
with paragraph(s) about compensation: base salary ranges I4, I5, I6, plus equity grants mention. Also mention base salary localized according to work location, ranges market-dependent. Could be paragraph.
Schedule
with paragraph about 12-week summer internship program (maybe also mention locations). Could be part of About the Role but we can separate.
We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID.
We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We must not include sections with no real content.
Now produce HTML fragment.
We need to ensure proper nesting: each section heading then content (p or ul). Use
for prose.
Let's extract exact text.

We could combine the PTO details as separate bullets.
Pay:
Paragraph: "The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. Schedule:
Paragraph: "We offer a 12-week summer internship program in our San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York, or Seattle offices."
We could also mention that it's a summer internship.
Now ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like "Applications for this position are accepted on an ongoing basis" (that's application instruction) - remove.
Also remove "Talk to your recruiter for more information." (application instruction). Remove "To learn more about our benefits, visit our careers page here
