Machine Learning Engineer | Remote

About the role

Design tasks by turning real ML research ideas into well-defined, multi-step steps. Run experiments by implementing changes, running training experiments, and analyzing results. Explore reinforcement learning ideas, focusing on reward functions and training behavior. Evaluate models to determine how they handle tasks and identify shortcomings. Collaborate with researchers and fellow experts to ensure tasks are consistent and rigorous.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer science, or another STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong relevant experience in a research or research-engineering role.
• Hands-on experience in training and evaluating ML models and running experiments end-to-end.
• Strong familiarity with large language models and their evaluation techniques.
• Working proficiency in Python and Git, with comfort in scripting and notebook environments.

Pay

$60–$90 per hour
