Machine Learning Engineer II

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,000 – $192,000 annually

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI systems to automate dispute and chargeback handling
• Build models to expedite customer refunds
• Maintain evidence extraction pipelines for unstructured data
• Prototype new modeling ideas and manage offline experiments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and evaluate solutions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with building models for tabular classification problems
• Familiarity with applications built on LLM APIs
• Experience processing unstructured data
• Knowledge of ML lifecycle tools for model training and monitoring
• Proficient in AI-powered developer tools
• Effective at navigating large code bases and conducting code reviews
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
