Machine Learning Engineer Graduate (E-Commerce Governance) - 2027 Start
About the role
The Governance and Experience Algorithm team was established in September 2020 to support e-commerce businesses with advanced AI technology. The team focuses on combating risks and violations in e-commerce scenarios and building a robust e-commerce ecosystem to improve platform service capabilities.
Successful candidates must commit to an onboarding date by the end of the year. Availability and graduation date should be clearly stated in your resume.
Responsibilities
- Identify algorithms for risk, violation, or low-quality issues in e-commerce scenarios such as products, shopping cart short videos, and live streaming with products.
- Mine and identify algorithms to detect fraudulent behaviors and recognize risky, violated, or low-quality merchants and creators.
- Optimize algorithms for large-scale brand libraries, product, and content deduplication/clustering.
- Work on data construction, instruction fine-tuning, chain-of-thought (CoT), alignment, and other tasks for large models in the e-commerce domain to optimize effects.
- Explore reinforcement learning and operational research algorithms in intelligent dispatching and audit scheduling to improve audit quality and efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid coding skills with the ability to develop in a Linux environment; proficiency in Python, Go, or C++.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with proficiency in machine learning/deep learning theory and practical experience.
- Familiarity with 1-2 areas in natural language processing, computer vision, multimodal, graph algorithms, search algorithms, text/data mining, or large language models (LLM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for challenging problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completing or recently completed a Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Good team spirit and strong communication skills.
- Experience in platform governance, audit, risk control, content security, or overseas internet/e-commerce business.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $121,600 - $243,200 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
