Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Valar Labs is a well-funded, fast-growing AI diagnostics startup focused on revolutionizing oncology and urology through cutting-edge technology and innovation. The company is dedicated to improving patient outcomes by developing and deploying novel AI-driven diagnostics to reduce treatment uncertainty for oncologists and patients.

Responsibilities

• Architect key components of the deep learning platform
• Train robust and interpretable deep learning models for impactful medical tasks
• Design purpose-built datasets alongside medical oncologists to tackle clinically relevant questions
• Build full-stack deep learning solutions from research to deployment

Requirements

• Publishations in top conferences/journals in the Medical AI space
• Ability to develop modular, replicable machine learning platforms
• Strong understanding of PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, and Cloud Infrastructure for machine learning
• Experience deploying production AI models (Optional)
• Experience with Pathology data (Optional)

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
