Machine Helper

Description

The Machine Helper at Smurfit Westrock is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of the manufacturing areas, including conducting quality checks, material setup, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to working safely
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Able to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required (PPE provided)
• Ability to stand and walk continuously with occasional kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)
