JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Machine Builder in Ogden, UT. This is a full-time hourly position based onsite. Role Overview
The Machine Builder is responsible for assembling equipment according to mechanical drawings while ensuring all changes, issues, and progress are clearly documented and communicated. This role requires working both independently and collaboratively to meet quality, cost, and timing expectations, while adhering to ISO standards and maintaining an organized, safe workspace. The position involves operating a variety of machine shop equipment, such as mills, lathes, and grinders, and assisting with material preparation processes. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Basic computer skills
- Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings
- Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality
- Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually
- Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required
- Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane license, along with Lock Out Tag Out training, while employed at JR
- Proficient with skills outlined in Module 1
- Able to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job (a list of those recommended will be provided)
- Able to travel at least 20% of the time may be required. This may include domestic and international travel depending on the project
