Machine Assistant - $2k Sign-On BONUS! (Experience Required)

About the role

Join Amcor as a Printing Press Assistant and play a key role in producing high-quality packaging that makes a global impact. You’ll ensure safety, quality standards, and contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inks, substrates, plates, cylinders, gears, etc. for scheduled jobs.
• Assist Press Operator in monitoring the product to ensure quality.
• Knowledge and ability to perform make-readies.
• Participate in the operation of the press with the ability to operate if needed.
• Order, Charge, and Return raw materials to each job as needed.
• Complete necessary daily paperwork.
• Complete 5S/housekeeping logs.
• Follow and be held accountable for adherence to all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.
• Remove and identify all scrap except flying splices before master rolls get moved to WIP area
• All other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Management

Requirements

• Lead the Pack: Preferred qualifications include Ability read, understand, and follow customer specifications, Experience in manufacturing environment preferred, Forklift experience preferred, Must have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator software.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods (steel-toed shoes required).
• Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching.

Skills

• Ability to read, understand, and follow customer specifications.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Visual acuity for inspection and identification.

Pay

Compensation: $20.69-$26.64/hour + $1.25/hour night shift premium

Schedule

Shift: 2-2-3: 12-hour shifts, nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
