MA - Urgent Care

Responsibilities

• Prepares the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Assists the provider with treatments and procedures.
• Administers approved medications under the order and supervision of the provider.
• Supports clerical functions such as scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Performs activities to maintain a clean, stocked, safe, and well-organized patient care environment.
• Provides in-basket support with the EMR.

Qualifications

• BLS required at time of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prefer healthcare experience.
• For MA II Applicants: Six months of MA experience or successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program from an accredited school required.
