About the role
You will partner closely with our LQR team to expand our remediation, investigation, and compliance portfolio. This is a senior, client-facing, strategic role with significant autonomy and growth opportunity. The ideal candidate combines technical excellence with business development leadership and a strong network across industrial, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Bring, maintain and grow an active book of work across environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, and related consulting services.
- Leverage existing client relationships and expand new ones through networking, conferences, industry groups, and targeted outreach.
- Lead proposal development, scopes of work, and pricing strategies.
- Function as a seller-doer, balancing active project leadership with ongoing business generation.
- Identify strategic market opportunities and emerging service lines.
- Serve as Principal-in-Charge or senior technical lead on complex environmental, geologic, or engineering projects.
- Oversee high-level data interpretation, modeling, remedy evaluation, design, and implementation.
- Provide expert review of work plans, RI/RA deliverables, remedial action options, remedial action design and implementation plans, and technical reports.
- Manage budgets, schedules, team allocation, and resource planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to industrial, commercial, municipal, and legal-sector clients.
- Lead key client meetings, technical discussions, and project strategy sessions.
- Provide technical direction and professional development guidance to junior and mid-level staff.
- Promote a culture of scientific excellence, responsiveness, and strong client service.
- Support recruiting and talent development for the growing practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geological/Environmental Engineering or Sciences
- Massachusetts LSP required; PE, PG, LEP, LSRP a plus
- History of providing environmental consulting services for site investigations and remediation related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and sediment sampling
- Understands environmental due diligence (Environmental Site Assessments) with a strong grasp of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP); experience with programs in nearby states and emerging contaminants a plus
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher training
- Experience with Deltek or similar project management system is a plus

Pay
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000.
