Job Title: M/E/P Manager Employment Type: Full-Time FSLA: Salary/Exempt Division: Project Services Group Department: Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (M/E/P) Reports to: Director of M/E/P Services Supervisory Duties: Yes Job Description The M/E/P Manager provides technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering. This individual serves as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders by identifying constructability issues, contributing to project schedules, overseeing commissioning efforts, and supporting the successful delivery of MEP/FP systems across all phases of construction. Current project priorities include providing boots-on-the-ground field support for mechanical and cooling system installation, coordination, and execution. The successful candidate will work closely with field teams and trade partners to support installation activities, identify and resolve field issues, and ensure successful project delivery. While the immediate focus for this assignment is mechanical/cooling systems, this role supports all M/E/P disciplines, including electrical, as project needs evolve. Depending on project assignments, travel may be required; however, local candidates will also be considered for projects within their geographic area. Responsibilities / Essential Functions Provide MEP/FP technical oversight from preconstruction through closeoutReview and coordinate MEP/FP design documents for constructability and system integrationParticipate in design and coordination meetings with consultants, owners, and project teamsEvaluate subcontractor proposals, scopes of work, and prequalification packagesMonitor MEP construction progress and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and code requirementsProvide boots-on-the-ground field support to assist with MEP installation, coordination, and issue resolution throughout constructionSupport the development of MEP schedules and sequencing in coordination with project teamsReview and track MEP submittals, RFIs, and change ordersCoordinate field inspections, startup, and testing/commissioning of MEP/FP systemsCollaborate with commissioning agents to verify system performance and documentationTroubleshoot MEP system issues and work with subcontractors to resolve themAssist in evaluating MEP-related cost impacts, value engineering options, and project risksServe as a technical resource and mentor to project team members and field personnel Key Skills Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks at onceOutstanding attention to detailProactive and innovative problem solverAbility to excel in a fast-paced environmentTeam player that can interact with all project team members, subcontractors, field staff, and clientsClear and effective communicator Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
