M&A Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an M&A specialist to join our M&A Strategy team, partnering directly with our Enterprise Capability practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients navigating complex mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise transformation initiatives. You will bring together deep technical expertise in enterprise platforms with sharp business acumen to shape strategy, lead delivery, and architect solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory & M&A Support:
- Lead business strategy engagements focused on M&A readiness, integration planning, and enterprise capability assessment
- Partner with client leadership to evaluate enterprise platform landscapes and identify synergies, gaps, and transformation opportunities
- Develop and present strategic roadmaps that align technology capabilities with business value streams and GTM objectives
- Facilitate executive workshops to align stakeholders on priorities, risks, and integration sequencing
- Strategic Roadmap Development:
- Develop comprehensive strategic roadmaps that sequence enterprise platform initiatives across people, process, and technology dimensions
- Apply delivery leadership and solution architecture experience to assess feasibility, sequencing, and risk profile of enterprise initiatives
- Translate platform-level architectural trade-offs into strategic planning inputs
- Identify and communicate dependencies, constraints, and critical path items
- Analysis & Estimation:
- Conduct detailed level-of-effort (LOE) analysis, complexity scoring, and risk assessments
- Produce high-quality deliverables including business cases, capability assessments, and implementation plans
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering technical projects in a consulting environment
- Track record of managing client-facing engagements from initiation through post-go-live support
- Experience working across multiple industries and client sizes is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in both Delivery Lead and Solution Architect roles
- Ability to context-switch between strategic leadership and hands-on technical design
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining delivery rigor
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong hands-on background configuring enterprise business platform applications
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or comparable ERP/CRM systems
- Familiarity with enterprise integration tools, APIs, and middleware platforms
- Proficiency with enterprise AI tools including ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude Enterprise
- Ability to identify and champion responsible AI adoption within client environments
- Business & Strategic Acumen:
- Deep understanding of GTM motions, business capabilities, and value streams enabled by enterprise applications
- Knowledge of how platforms support Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Service operations
- Ability to connect platform capabilities to revenue, efficiency, and customer experience outcomes
- Strong analytical skills to assess LOE, complexity, and risk across enterprise initiatives
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps with clear prioritization logic and dependency mapping
- Proficiency in structuring and communicating findings for C-suite audiences
Pay
The targeted base salary pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Senior Consultant:
- Silicon Valley and San Francisco: $131,000 to $185,000
- Boston, LA, White Plains, New Jersey, New York City, Seattle, San Diego, Orange County, and Washington DC: $149,000 to $176,000
- All other locations: $137,000 to $160,000
- Principal:
- Silicon Valley and San Francisco: $168,000 to $240,000
- Boston, LA, White Plains, New Jersey, New York City, Seattle, San Diego, Orange County, and Washington DC: $154,000 - $220,000
- All other locations: $141,000 - $200,000
In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
