M&A IT Senior Consultant

About the role

The M&A IT Senior Consultant supports clients through technology integration and divestiture activities that drive transition readiness and long-term value. This role sits within Deloitte’s M&A Offering and focuses on helping organizations respond to transaction opportunities, execute IT separation or integration priorities, and accelerate transformation.

Responsibilities

• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through IT integration and separation planning, analysis, and execution.
• Assess applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models to identify Day 1, transitional, and end-state requirements.
• Develop workplans, track milestones, coordinate dependencies across workstreams, and identify changes in scope or risks.
• Build business cases, financial analyses, and client-ready deliverables to support IT synergy, cost reduction, migration, and rationalization decisions.
• Work with managers and cross-functional teams to validate outputs, communicate recommendations, and deliver work aligned to client needs and engagement objectives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in M&A integration and/or divestiture service delivery within the information technology function.
• 4+ years of experience in one information technology domain.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years consulting or industry experience; alternatively, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 2+ years of consulting or industry experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
