About the role

Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability.

As a Senior Consultant within M&A IT, you will support clients through technology integration and divestiture activities that drive transition readiness and long-term value. This role sits within Deloitte's M&A Offering and focuses on helping organizations respond to transaction opportunities, execute IT separation or integration priorities, and accelerate transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through IT integration and separation planning, analysis, and execution.
  • Assessing applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models to identify Day 1, transitional, and end-state requirements.
  • Developing workplans, tracking milestones, coordinating dependencies across workstreams, and identifying changes in scope or risks.
  • Building business cases, financial analyses, and client-ready deliverables to support IT synergy, cost reduction, migration, and rationalization decisions.
  • Working with managers and cross-functional teams to validate outputs, communicate recommendations, and deliver work aligned to client needs and engagement objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in M&A integration and/or divestiture service delivery within the information technology function.
  • 4+ years of experience in one information technology domain.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years consulting or industry experience; alternatively, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 2+ years of consulting or industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a professional services consulting firm.
  • Experience with cloud migration or cloud stand-up activities.
  • Experience leading workstreams or small teams on larger projects.
  • Experience developing presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint and process flows in Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience supporting communications, culture, or change management activities.
  • Advanced degree.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000 to $252,500. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
