Responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, assessing quality of earnings and identifying risks
- Manage end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805
- Drive the accounting treatment for strategic investments, applying ASC 321 and ASC 323
- Shape the company’s accounting policies through technical memos and analyses
- Prepare transaction-related disclosures for SEC filings, ensuring compliance with SOX
- Collaborate with various teams to provide accounting expertise for new launches and integrations
Qualifications
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and industry roles; CPA required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, including M&A (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321 and ASC 323)
- Experience in leading financial due diligence and assessing accounting risks in live deal processes
- Prioritizing experience managing external consultants and advisors across M&A workstreams
- Proven ability to draft technical memos and financial disclosures for diverse audiences
- Expertise in utilizing generative AI for workflow efficiency while ensuring human oversight
