M&A and Accounting Policy Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence on target companies, assessing quality of earnings and identifying risks
• Manage end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805
• Drive the accounting treatment for strategic investments, applying ASC 321 and ASC 323
• Shape the company’s accounting policies through technical memos and analyses
• Prepare transaction-related disclosures for SEC filings, ensuring compliance with SOX
• Collaborate with various teams to provide accounting expertise for new launches and integrations

Qualifications

• 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and industry roles; CPA required
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, including M&A (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321 and ASC 323)
• Experience in leading financial due diligence and assessing accounting risks in live deal processes
• Prioritizing experience managing external consultants and advisors across M&A workstreams
• Proven ability to draft technical memos and financial disclosures for diverse audiences
• Expertise in utilizing generative AI for workflow efficiency while ensuring human oversight
