LVN - Vandever MOB - Family Medicine - FT (40) - 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

About the role

This role involves providing routine patient care under the supervision of an RN or provider, following established policies, procedures, and standards. The position adheres to Quality of Service Standards and Universal Precautions.

Responsibilities

• Performing nursing care functions like vital signs, dressing changes, wound care, and skin preparation.
• Administering medications, excluding IV medications, as ordered by the provider.
• Observing and documenting patients' responses to medications and therapies.
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures and diagnostic examinations.
• Preparing and transporting medical equipment and specimens.
• Collecting and preserving specimens for testing, including urine, sputum, and stool.
• Participating in Department Quality Assurance activities.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively with the public.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Vocational Nurse License (California).
• Education: Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions.

Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

8-hour position with variable hours 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.
