Status: Part-Time – All Shifts Available (AM / PM / NOC)
About the role
The primary responsibility of the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is to provide direct nursing care to residents and to support the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report findings to the Charge Nurse or RN
- Accurately document care provided, observations, and resident responses in the medical record
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered care
- Ensure infection control, safety, and privacy standards are followed at all times
- Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergency situations
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and respectful approach toward residents and families
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Vocational Nursing program
- Current, active California LVN license in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care experience preferred
