Licensed Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a per diem weekend position with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility—a Riverside County jail. This program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Providing basic nursing care to jail inmates
- Administering IV and oral medications
- Providing health education
- Observing and documenting health status
- Collaborating with security staff
- Ensuring program clients receive high-quality health services
Work Setting
You will work onsite at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility at 1627 S. Hargrave Street in Banning, CA 92220.
Schedule
- Per diem (as needed), primarily on weekends
- Work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay
$30.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse or Psychiatric Technician
- Experience working in a mental health setting
