LVN - Full - Time
About the role
Covenant Living, the nation’s sixth-largest nonprofit senior living provider, is seeking qualified candidates for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs). This position will assist in delivering quality care through monitoring staff performance, providing direct care, and assisting with the orientation of new LPN/LVNs.
Responsibilities
- Aid in routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring high standards of nursing care and task completion.
- Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
- Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, suggestions, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
- Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions, and notify physicians and family members as necessary.
- Provide direct patient care, including procedures like catheter placement, colostomy care, suction, dressing, naso-gastric tubes, and other treatments.
- Participate in shift reports to ensure proper communication about residents' information.
- Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc., are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
- Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
- One year nursing experience.
- Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.

Pay
Compensation Pay Range: $31.88 - $47.79. A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $31.88 - $47.79. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
Schedule
Shifts Available: 12-Hour Shifts (Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), 8-Hour Shifts (Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), and Other Shift Options (16-Hour Baylor LPN: Weekends, 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM, Paid for full-time).
