About the role

As our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well-being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled patient care according to established nursing standards to meet social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual needs of the patient as assigned by the accountable RN.
• Document and record pertinent information related to patient demographics, graphic data, and nursing interventions performed as indicated by unit, service, and Health Systems’ policies.
• Provide indirect patient care, including assisting in the admission, transfer, and discharge process; performing housekeeping functions as delegated; acting as a runner or transporter.
• Consistently document in patient and unit records according to written health system standards to meet legal and quality patient care requirements. Ensure documentation is neat, legible, and completed in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate commitment to the continuum of care by optimizing patient flow: update assigned bed status, facilitate patient transfer and discharge, assist other departmental personnel with patient transport, and facilitate new or transfer patients to the unit.
• Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments.
• Assess patient conditions and meticulously document care.

Requirements

• Graduation from a vocational nursing program (required upon hire).
• Active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR certification (required within 14 days of hire).

Pay

$23.11 - $34.38 per hour.
