About the role

Cedar Crest Hospital & Residential Treatment is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient health and administer basic care.
• Model customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding patient safety.
• Collaborate with others to meet physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs of patients.
• Provide basic patient comfort and implement nursing interventions from the care plan.
• Discuss care with patients and address their concerns.
• Report status changes and concerns to RNs and doctors.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in treatment.
• Deliver medications safely according to policies and procedures, physician orders, and current practice.
• Maintain professional nursing standards in accordance with facility policy and procedures, governing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
• Accurately document patient symptoms, responses, and progress.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility (preferred).
• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility regulations.
