Luxury Hotel Security Officer

About the role

Crescent Hotels & Resorts invites you to join the team at the Remi Hotel, a new build Autograph Collection located in downtown Scottsdale's Entertainment District. The Remi Hotel is a 161-room establishment that blends classic western elements with modern design, offering a unique desert aesthetic.

Responsibilities

• Perform majority of shift on foot patrol, walking and climbing stairs to observe and identify potential security and safety risks.
• Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with guest welfare and assisting with door lock problems.
• Coordinate expedient responses to emergencies such as fires, safety hazards, and threats to life and property.
• Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy.
• Watch for suspicious persons and conduct walk-through observations of the entire hotel.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Answer security telephone and safety calls, responding promptly based on priority.
• Monitor security monitors for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior directly to the supervisor.
• Memorize and monitor life safety systems, including the layout of the building, alarm pull stations, and locations of fire extinguishers and sprinklers.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of hotel security experience is highly preferred.
• Marriott brand knowledge is highly preferred.
• Requires manual dexterity for tasks such as grasping, lifting, carrying, or moving persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs, and safety equipment.
• Verbal communication skills are necessary for using devices and responding to calls.
