Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor

About the Role

Reports to the Principal and supervises lunchroom, playground, and students. This is a 9-month, non-exempt position under the GEA contract.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• May require CPR training

Purpose

To ensure students' safety and needs by providing supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lunchroom Aide:
  • Patrol designated areas
  • Maintain a supervised lunch period both inside and outside
  • Enforce good lunchroom manners and address misconduct
  • Supervise playground
  • Occasionally clean the lunchroom as needed
• Playground Aide:
  • Patrol designated areas
  • Enforce reasonable safety practices on the playground
  • Mediate disagreements among students
  • Escort injured students to the school office
  • Enforce playground rules and perform additional duties assigned by the principal
• Comply with the professional code of ethics and school policies
• Attend staff meetings as appropriate
• Perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as assigned by an administrator
