Join Forgan Arts Centre and Big Rock Records for an afternoon and evening of live music and art activities celebrating Lughnasadh, marking the beginning of the harvest season and the final days of summer.

Arts programme
Celebrate the folk origins of Lughnasadh with creative activities connecting to the harvest season:
- Spot specially-commissioned colourful signage by artist Zoe Gibson
- Learn to create harvest knots from locally-harvested grain with straw weaver Elaine Lindsay
- Stitch a patch emblem of your garden hero (earthworm or oak leaf) with textile artist Eilidh Weir
- Explore hidden hedges with artist Maeve Totolehibe and create beeswax portals in the undergrowth
- Print your own Lughnasadh design in natural inks on a t-shirt or tea-towel with screenprinter Sarah Gillespie
Other happenings
- Visit the Wee Anti-Racist Library pop-up in the garden (2-4pm) to browse and borrow books on anti-racism, community, solidarity, and mutual aid
- Free Dr Bike tune-up session with Dundee Cycle Hub (2-5pm)

Tickets go on sale 8 April 2026 at 8:00 AM and end 31 July 2026 at 5:00 PM (4:00 PM for standard tickets).
Travel and accessibility
- Bike: 10% discount on bike hire from Forks (use code ForganArts), group ride from Dundee at 1pm, free Dr Bike tune-up (2-5pm), and secure bike parking at the Green Bike Hub
- Bus: Extra capacity on Moffat & Williamson M77 buses from Dundee rail station (12:38, 13:38, 14:38, 15:38) and from Newport-on-Tay (17:42, 18:42, 19:42, 20:42, 21:42). Regular 99 Stagecoach buses from St Andrews, Leuchars, and Balmullo stop at Forgan Roundabout (25-minute walk)
- Train: Closest stations are Dundee (M77 bus or bike ride away) and Leuchars (99 Stagecoach bus to Forgan Roundabout, 25-minute walk)

- Driving: Limited parking; carpooling recommended. Four disabled parking spaces available (book in advance). Nearest free parking at Waterstone Crook Car Park (5-minute walk)
Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Consider your dog’s comfort in a busy, noisy environment. A water point will be available.
