Responsibilities
- Safely operate lube trucks and service vehicles throughout the project site
- Fuel heavy equipment, haul trucks, excavators, dozers, loaders, and other construction equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services including oil changes, filter replacements, greasing, fluid top-offs, and equipment inspections
- Maintain accurate service records, fuel logs, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections, including fluid levels, tires, lights, hoses, pumps, and safety equipment
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HazMat requirements, company policies, and project safety standards
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel regarding equipment service needs
- Auxiliary with general maintenance, labor duties, and project support activities as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating lube trucks, fuel trucks, service trucks, or other construction-related commercial vehicles
- Valid CDL Class A required
- Current Tanker and HazMat Endorsements required
- Experience fueling and servicing heavy equipment in construction, mining, quarry, or heavy civil environments preferred
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (PM) services, including oil changes, filter replacements, greasing, fluid checks, and equipment inspections preferred
- Ability to maintain accurate fuel logs, service records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
- Willingness to perform laborer duties when project needs require
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work safely under pressure and adapt to changing jobsite conditions and production demands
- Strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and situational awareness around active heavy equipment operations
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment, walk uneven terrain, bend, stoop, kneel, balance, and lift up to 75 pounds as required
- Flexible availability, including overtime, weekends, and extended work schedules as project needs require
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, mechanics, equipment operators, and team members regarding equipment service and maintenance needs
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
