About the role
Long-term substitute position for an Elementary Special Education Teacher, beginning on or around November 16, 2026 through January 22, 2027.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Students with Disabilities All Grades, or Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6
- Enthusiastic and passionate about working with all students
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-professionals
- Effective communication with students and parents
- Competent in completing assessments and reporting as appropriate
- Able to write, interpret, and administer IEPs
- Plan for, provide, and document instruction for students with disabilities (SWDs)
- Understand New York State mandates for Individual Education Plans
- Provide instruction for SWDs consistent with NYS Standards and NYS Regulations
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Elementary Special Education
