LTS Elementary Classroom Teacher PC - Kindergarten

About the Role

Basic classroom teachers will collaborate with and assist the Special Teachers in art, basic skills, music, reading, and physical education when needed. Special Teachers have the same major duties and responsibilities as traditional classroom teachers.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of student teaching
• Proper Pennsylvania certification in subject or special field area
• B.S. or B.A. Degree (minimum)
• Credentials in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governing individuals in this position

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction
• Encourage all students to learn well
• Maintain and report information on pupil progress
• Teach the subjects required in the curriculum and planned course documents of the school district
• Prepare and submit written lesson plans as a basis for the day's activities
• Be responsible for specified building duties as detailed by the elementary principals
• Attend all faculty and building meetings
• Participate in all in-service and training activities
• Perform additional responsibilities as determined by the Board of School Directors and district administration
• Be familiar with district policies and execute them as required by the school's administration
• Plan and initiate parent-teacher conferences when desirable
• Contribute to the development of the annual instructional budget
