About the role

The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) seeks to hire Underage Operatives to enforce Colorado's Liquor, Beer, and Special Event codes. These positions aim to prevent sales of tobacco and alcohol beverages to those under 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Work undercover to attempt to purchase tobacco and alcohol beverages from licensed establishments.
  • Communicate with two Liquor/Tobacco Investigators using a body microphone to record and transmit audio during attempts.
  • Testify in criminal court and administrative hearings when necessary.
  • Work flexible schedules, with an average of 2-3 times per month across the state of Colorado.
  • Transportation will be provided.

Requirements

  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 20 years old.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State issued Identification Card (ID) or Driver License.
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and accept supervision.

Skills

  • Flexibility with work schedule.
  • Ability to work in an undercover capacity.

Benefits

  • No set working schedules or guaranteed hours.
  • Temporary assignments may last up to 9 months.
  • Eligible for CSEAP benefits and Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA) retirement employer contributions.

Schedule

Conditions of Employment
