Responsibilities
- Teach advanced legal reasoning, including Logical Reasoning (argument structures, assumptions, inferences, flaws, strengthening/weakening), Reading Comprehension (dense passages, comparative reading), and Analytical Reasoning logic games (sequencing, grouping, matching).
- Explain diagramming techniques, formal logic, and LSAT-specific argumentation patterns relevant to law school admissions.
- Teach logic game setup, notation systems, argument core identification, and passage annotation.
- Guide students through conditional reasoning, sufficient/necessary conditions, game rule combinations, and systematic elimination of wrong answers.
- Emphasize pattern recognition in question types and connect LSAT skills to legal thinking and case analysis.
- Adapt instruction using official LSAC practice tests, game type drills, argument flaw categorization, and timed sections to address LSAT difficulty and score improvement plateaus.
- Identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches tailored to individual learning needs and styles.
- Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
Requirements
- Minimum LSAT score of 170.
- Proven methods for delivering substantial score increases.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
- Deep knowledge of LSAT sections: Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Analytical Reasoning.
- Familiarity with LSAT difficulty and common student struggles, such as logic games and parallel reasoning questions.
