Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor any skin problems that the patients may have and treat as ordered by physician.
- Administer and record all treatment medications.
- Chart information regarding patient’s progress, ailments, medication, symptoms and observations.
- May be required to provide all information regarding patient to the supervising RN as to their progress and care.
- Provide to the Director of Nursing appropriate reports/documentation to support departmental updates, corrective actions, and others as necessary.
- Aid in identifying, managing and treating acute and chronic wounds and skin lesions i.e., pressure ulcers, skin tears, skin infections, etc.
- Maintain effective lines of communication with attending physicians.
- Admit, discharge and transfer patients as requested.
- Send patients to the hospital as necessary.
- Make compliance rounds and report any pertinent issues.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in follow-up on consultant recommendations (i.e. pharmacy, dietary, etc.).
- Complete documentation procedures on patients (appropriate use of forms, timelines, and Medicare documentation etc.).
- Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
- Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
- Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

Minimum Qualifications
- Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or is a graduate of an approved LPN program.
- An active LPN License to practice in the State of Georgia.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides oversight and direction unlicensed nursing personnel.
Reasoning Abilities
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.
- The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
