Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our dedicated team. We are a 131-bed community hospital founded in 1890, serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest sections of Philadelphia.
About the role
The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family. This position performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family.
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- IV certification upon hire (state specific).
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.

- Knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
