LPN Specialist Or Medical Assistant Specialist - Surgery - Full Time

Full-time Description THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Essential Functions

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.

Requirements

LPN Specialist

• Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
• Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Medical Assistant Specialist

• Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
