Summary/Objective
The ideal candidate should be an LPN or a Medical Assistant who provides basic medical and nursing care, ensures patient comfort, discusses health care with patients, reports patient status, and assists with clinic procedures.
Essential Functions
- Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
- Applies principles of fetal growth and development in daily practice.
- Set up rooms and trays for scheduled procedures.
- Auxiliary provider with clinic procedures.
- Administer medications and/or vaccines as needed.
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs via telephone triage.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to OB/GYN emergencies.
- Adheres to Nursing policy and procedures when documenting in the patient's medical record.
- Acts as an active member of the care team, potentially including additional duties related to care coordination.
Requirements
LPN Specialist Requirements
- Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. One (1) year prior experience in OB/GYN required, two (2) years experience preferred.
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification.
Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements
- Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or one (1) year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last two (2) years.
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Current BLS certification or to be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of employment.
