Summary/Objective
The ideal candidate should be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.
Essential Functions
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records.
- Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
- Affords assistance with medical office procedures.
- Maintains the integrity of the office.
- Affords assistance with the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician office and assists the physician with medical office procedures as needed.
- Affords assistance with hospital procedures and/or surgeries and coordinates scheduling surgical procedures.
Requirements
- LPN Specialist Requirements Are Required:
- Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements Are Required:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
