LPN Specialist - Oncology - Full Time

About the Role

This full-time position involves providing nursing care and support in a specialty healthcare setting, focusing on patient assessment, medication administration, and education.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs through telephone triage.
• Administers medication, including injections, and documents medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician as required by specialty.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Acquires additional credentials or licenses pertinent to the specialty.
• Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations appropriately.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
• One year of experience in a healthcare facility.
• CPR certification within 3 months of employment.
• For Xpress Care LPNs only: IV certification required within 3 months of hire/transfer.

Additional credentials or licenses pertinent to the specialty may be required.
