About the Role

Under general supervision of the Hospital Administrator, Office Manager, and Managing RN, this position uses the nursing process to safely provide patient care and patient education. Workload is determined by the clinic's appointment schedule, staffing levels, and the needs and priorities of the Department. The LPN may be reassigned within the department or floated to another department based on daily review of outpatient clinics' appointment schedules and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Function within the LPN's scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the clinic and organization.
• Assist the RN Manager and Office Manager with orientation and preceptorship for technicians and clerical staff.
• Work and relate professionally with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Document clinic patient care, assist with review and maintenance of patient charts per clinic policy.
• Assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into the computer system.
• Attend yearly mandatory education requirements; responsibility lies with the employee to arrange and attend sessions.

Schedule

Assigned up to 40 hours per week according to department needs and staffing. Some weekend work may be required.
