About the role
Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider.

- Day Shift
- Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current South Carolina license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic first aid knowledge
- Current CPR certification
Essential Functions
- Maintains a positive attitude
- Responds to all patient and office staff requests and needs
- Performs duties assigned by authorized personnel or in an emergency (e.g., fire or disaster)
Responsibilities
- Communication: Telephone duties (answering, transferring), order/messages, phone triage, patient and staff communication
- Scheduling: Referrals, appointments, ancillaries, surgeries (inpatient/outpatient), hospital admissions
- Medical Records: Documentation, chart structure maintenance, filing, faxing, copying, mailing
- Lab: Phlebotomy specimen collection and processing, proficiency testing results reporting
- Medication Management: Intravenous infusion per policy, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal, oral, topical, suppository, sublingual, inhalants; storage, handling, ordering/maintaining levels
- Patient Care: Exam room preparation and maintenance, patient interview, chaperone duties, assisting/performing minor procedures, triage (telephone or in person), implementing physician orders, patient education, results reporting, clinical documentation
- Equipment: Operation, routine maintenance, ordering supplies, log sheets, cleaning (general office equipment, patient care equipment, specialized equipment such as X-ray, bone density, ultrasound, treadmill, laboratory equipment, laser, defibrillator, Holter monitors, cardiac pacemakers)
- In-service/Education: Certification/licensure competency, department orientation, annual training, log sheets/audits
- Leadership: Provides support and guidance for clinical policies and procedures
- Other: Precertification/authorization, coding (E&M/basic visits, surgeries, hospital services), correspondence, statistical reports, accounts payable, payroll
