LPN - Phone Triage Nights and Weekends

About the role

The Triage LPN is an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary care team. This position triages patient calls, assesses needs, dispatches nursing staff, and facilitates multiple aspects of patient care needs. This position must be able to demonstrate compassion and exceptional customer service over the phone and with visitors. This role uses multiple computer, cloud, and software programs and requires maintaining regulatory compliance and ethical judgment while performing duties.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted AR/OK LPN license
• BLS certification
• Strong assessment skills with critical thinking and a high level of problem-solving within a healthcare facility
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies

Preferred: hospice experience, home health, or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.
