LPN, Per Diem - Occupational Medicine

About the role

Department/Unit: EmUrgent Care - Guilderland. Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately record patient’s vital signs
• Document components of patient’s history
• Communicate in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
• Participate in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
• Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing
• Perform venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
• Handle prescription call-backs per scope of practice
• Prep patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information
• Maintain inventory of supplies and keep patient examination rooms stocked
• Adhere to AMC’s regulatory
