LPN - Per Diem

About the role

A clinically competent licensed nurse who provides immediate, specialized patient care with a multidisciplinary provider team, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of their licensure. Observes and reports patient responses to treatments and follows the patient care plan. Must possess the basic and advanced practical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on patient care in a rural hospital setting
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs
• Manage patient records
• Provide education to patients and families

Requirements

• Valid and current NYS LPN license
• BLS certification
• Compliance with all requirements outlined by the New York State Office of Professions for the LPN profession
• Ability to work regular day, evening, night, and weekend shifts

Working Conditions

• OSHA Category A - potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances
• Frequent bending, lifting, standing, and walking
