About the role

Baptist Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Administer medications as per the plan of care.
  • Report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN.
  • (For Employee Health) Conduct new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active LPN license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required based on department assignment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
  • Able to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
