LPN or RN - Adult Services

About the role

The position offers a 4-day workweek with 9-hour shifts, including every 3rd weekend and 1 holiday per year. It involves a case management style nursing role focusing on adult healthcare support.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health status and wellbeing of people supported within the facility.
• Analyze clinical information by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating conditions.
• Provide respiratory care/support.
• Interpret lab values and data.
• Document medical records electronically.
• Teach and educate staff, families, patients, students, and those supported.
• Promote health and safety.
• Offer guidance to Direct Care staff.
• Complete a variety of other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program with a valid South Dakota RN licensure.
• A graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid South Dakota LPN licensure.
• A valid South Dakota driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing and/or direct care is preferred.

Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and evaluation skills.
• Effective communication and teaching abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
