About the role
Join the Faith Haven Senior Care team! Our Skilled Nursing team delivers specialized care to patients across various medical specialties including orthopedics, cardiac care, respiratory health, oncology, palliative care, infectious diseases, neurology, and dermatology. You'll have the autonomy to evaluate patient needs and administer care as you see fit, leveraging cutting-edge technology and being an integral part of a robust interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of treatments, including wound care, irrigations, IV therapy, tube feedings, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis.
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and advise patients and families regarding changes to medications, treatment plans, and patient condition.
- Provide preventative and supportive care directed to the physiologic and psychosocial well-being of patients.
- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors. Encourage a positive, healthy healing environment.
- Oversight of the Nurse Aide team, including giving direction, assignments, offering training, and contributing to recognition and evaluations.
Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Michigan.
- CPR-BLS certification.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or higher.
- Analytical abilities to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional, passionate, and innovative care.
- Team player, dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done.
