LPN-Nights
Location: Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center, Sheridan, Wyoming. Full-time night shift eligible for $5,000 sign-on bonus.
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide support and assist residents in performing daily living activities. We are looking for a compassionate advocate for residents and their families. As an LPN you will be responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and facility standards.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff in daily care activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and safety initiatives.
- Respond to medical emergencies and follow established protocols.
- Uphold professional standards, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license by the State Board of Nursing
- CPR Certified
- Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents with diverse physical and cognitive needs
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills
- Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with residents, families, staff
- A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to seniors
