About the role
Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients, ensuring safety and adherence to policies.
Responsibilities
- Completes assessments and analyzes patient data
- Updates treatment plans and documents nursing care
- Implements physician orders and monitors safety
- Supervises LPNs and techs
- Educates patients and families
- Applies evidence-based practices
- Demonstrates professional nursing standards following the ANA Code of Ethics
- Maintains a safe environment
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Valid RN license and BLS certification specific to the state
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform various movements
- Knowledge of safety procedures and patient care standards
