Responsibilities

  • Promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness as advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities.
  • Provide direct patient care, including recording symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Administer medications and assist in convalescence and rehabilitation.
  • Deliver quality, age-specific, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Implement interventions to address patient and family needs, including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse Educational Program.
  • Current LPN license and ongoing, current BLS certification.
  • 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
  • For OB/GYN department: 2 years of clinical OB/GYN experience required.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
  • Assists with lifting and moving patients; lifts supplies/equipment.
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or constant walking.

Working Conditions

  • Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated, or ventilated facility.
  • Routine exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
  • May be subject to irregular hours, including evenings or potentially weekends, to participate in operational and community events.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $32.27–$38.07 hourly. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining compensation, several factors may be considered, such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
