About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), under direction and supervision, is an individual accountable for the care of patients. The LPN focuses on safe effective patient and family centered care, customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a financially stable unit
• Promotes his/her own development with an emphasis on evidence based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework
• Delegates nursing tasks to non-licensed staff members
• Affirms his/her educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting of non-licensed staff and or students

Qualifications

• Required: Diploma
• Licensed Practical Nurse
• Desired: One year in an acute care setting
