LPN - Medical Unit - Days

About the role

Our 5TA Medical team provides medical/surgical care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med/surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal, urological, and diabetic limb care. We are looking for a high-energy LPN with excellent communication skills to join our team of healers!

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act
• Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients
• Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy
• Documents nursing care and activities
• Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures
• Assists the departmental assistant with clinical matters
• Maintains the exam/treatment rooms and work environment
• Assists with the training of other staff

Requirements

• Education: Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse
• Experience: Prefer previous hospital experience; previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary; if no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance
• Licensure/Certification: Current Oklahoma State LPN License; Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re‑training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; current BLS must be maintained through re‑training for the duration of employment

Pay

$21.15‑$34.55 per hour based on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.00/hr. Night differential $2.50/hr. Weekend differential $2.50/hr.

Schedule

7a‑7p work shift, day position, regular full‑time.
