LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT
About the role
Park Nicollet is seeking LPNs, Medical Assistants, and EMTs to join their Primary Care team. Come join as a Partner for Good and make an impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and documenting necessary visit information and vitals.
- Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as directed.
- Performing and assisting with procedures and treatments as directed, such as administering, ear lavage, EKG’s, and bladder scans.
- Maintaining the standard rooming process, including medication reconciliation, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and completing forms and questionnaires.
- Maintaining knowledge of and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
- One of the following licenses or certifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and maintain a current state license.
- Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and hold a current Minnesota EMT License.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in a related field.
