Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with registered nurses
• Collect patient data and assist in care planning and implementation
• Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with state regulations
• Provide patient education and reinforce health teachings
• Participate in healthcare quality improvement and ongoing education
• Complete assigned goals and duties as directed

Qualifications

• Minimum IV therapy training per state board requirements
• Experience varies by location, including required training or coursework in IV therapy
• Licenses/certifications such as BLS, LPN, and IV therapy certification per state standards
